Analysis & Modeling from Environment Canada Basic surface and upper air maps. Coverage for SE Alaska or more. Precipitation forecast maps from the Canadian model. Also sea surface temperature, snow coverage, & sea ice analysis.
Western Regional Climate Center Excellent source of climate data with about the most complete list of stations. Monthly historical data and daily averages and extremes. *caution* some tables lack recent years' data.
Univ of Wyoming weather pages Some good Alaska data including historical surface and upper air data, maps, plots, soundings (such as skew-t), and meteograms, and model data output in meteogram format.
*ACIS climate data source (XM) Very useful climate data access & search site. Daily, monthly etc., formats, graphs, time series, rankings, extremes, multi-station stats. Based on current NCDC database. A little more offered than at the SC ACIS site.
Forecast GEFS (Ensemble) meteograms Model data for various stations displayed as timeline plots (plumes or meteograms) from many members of the GEFS system ensemble forecasts. [NCEP] [NCEP/EMC]
Climate Reanalyzer Nicely done visualization tools with lots of data from reanalysis models and other data sets both near term and historical. Unfortunately not all tools have Alaska coverage.
model forecast Meteograms from COLA/GMU Perhaps the most detailed forecast metograms I've run across, however, must input lat and lon as there are only 2 Alaska locations preset. from COLA/ George Mason University.
Sounding plots from UCAR Another source for sounding plots (such as skew-t). University Center for Atmospheric Research.

Surface analysis archive from NOAA's Weather Prediction Center Surface analysis archive from NOAA's Weather Prediction Center. Can request maps going back to 2005. Set map choice to North America (front/analysis only) for best Alaska coverage (not complete) or try "show all maps" for larger NA map (scroll down).
Satellite blog from Univ of Wisconsin Excellent blog centered on use of GOES and other geostationary satellite imagery in various situations. Search on "Alaska" for some interesting case studies. High bandwidth. [Univ of Wiconsin-Madison]
Space Weather dot com News and information about the Earth-sun environment. Alerts about solar storms and possible auroras are available, plus a good place to learn about the aurora and possible sun-climate connections.
*National Data Buoy Center Most comprehensive site for marine surface reports including ocean buoys and marine targeted land stations. [NOAA/NWS]
FAA Av cams plus Another FAA webcam system -- with enhanced content (but slower?) than avcams.faa.gov.
Aviation Weather dot Gov National website for aviation weather. Has some good additional features to NWS Alaska's aviation weather site.
CoCoRaHS precipitation network National network of home weather stations reporting precipitation and more. Not too many stations in Alaska and reporting is not always consistent.
